Has anyone applied for workation with a temporary work contract?

I have European permanent residence and currently hold a permanent Software Engineer position in the Netherlands, where I plan to apply for the DTV as well. However, my employer doesn't permit extended remote work abroad, so I plan to switch jobs (for other reasons besides the remote work restriction).

Because new roles in the Netherlands typically start with a 1-year temporary contract, or if I want to apply for work abroad, I will need to open my own company and apply as a contractor. Will it be problematic to apply with a newly started job (that has a temporary duration) or a newly registered business?

I will provide past payslips and have savings well above the 500k requirement. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

yes, I explained I will apply from the Netherlands where I currently live.

There is a European permanent residency (the permit I'm holding), that is different from national permanent residency.

Een tijd terug is er een keer iemand door de ambassade in Den Haag afgewezen omdat hij nog in zijn proeftijd zat.

Een contract voor 1 jaar zou op zich geen probleem moeten zijn, maar je kunt het ook navragen bij de ambassade.

Can you remove the word temporary? Either way you’ll need to prove you are working if checked at immigration whilst on the visa.

what do you mean remove the word temporary? it will be visible in the salary slips or employer statement (NHG 2024 template). Well technically it is also called Fixed terms/period contract. In any case, I have no control over the wording, it is an official term.
