We will move with three kids, two of them joining school in Thailand, and one infant.
Does anyone have experience regarding a visa for an infant?
I got this message from the Thai embassy in Norway.

Answer summary
When moving to Thailand with an infant, it appears that the infant can enter the country visa-exempt. Although this may result in an overstay stamp in their passport, children under the age of 15 are not subject to fines or bans for overstaying. If the plan is to obtain an ED (Education) visa later, it will be necessary to resolve the overstay by leaving Thailand and re-entering.

As above totally legal department with no fines child enters back on ED VISA
The infant could in theory just enter visa exempt and remain in the country without a visa. They will eventually end up with an overstay stamp in their passport but under the age of 15 they won't be fined or banned. If you also want to get them on an ED visa in due course you'll have to get them off overstay by leaving and returning
