Good morning, I'm not sure what part of Thailand I'll be in when I need to apply for an extension (I'm on a 30 day visa exemption expiring Dec 23). I found this map of all immigration offices on the official website. My question is whether the offices labeled as "checkpoints" would handle the extension, or are they border crossings where you're leaving the country and reentering (which I don't want to do)? I'm not sure what they mean by a checkpoint. The map link is here:

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about whether immigration offices marked as "checkpoints" on a map can handle visa extensions, particularly clarifying if these are border crossings that require leaving Thailand instead of processing an extension.
