Is it possible to apply for a TR 60/90 in Taipei? I can't find much online about it. Apparently it's possible at the Trade and Economic Office. Anyone has been successful there?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a TR 60/90 visa at the Trade and Economic Office in Taipei, but you must be a resident of Taiwan. Applicants need to provide a Taiwan identification card or a Taiwan resident certificate. The information about the application process is available on the embassy's official website, which outlines the requirements clearly.

Resident certification and resident visas are 2 totally different things.

Unless things have recently changed in Taiwan, unless you have resident certification OR a resident visa, you cannot apply there.

What do you mean you can't find much online about it? It's clearly listed on the embassy website.

Just like most Thai embassies in that area of Asia, you can only purchase visas if you are a resident of the country. Unless you are a Taiwan resident you will not be able to get a visa there.

Requirement 3. Original Taiwan identification card OR Taiwan resident certificate with ONE photocopy

it also says this which makes it seem like a non resident can apply….

Flight ticket heading and leaving Thailand is required for Non-Taiwanese nationals without Taiwan resident certificate.

do they have a Facebook page? You can try messaging them. That's usually the best way to get in touch with a Thai embassy.

But it's very common for that to be a limitation. Korea and Japan have that limitation that only residents can purchase visas.
