Elite visa and a previous bankruptcy?

On the application for an elite visa, it says you can not apply if Bankrupt but doesn`t give an indication if it`s ever been bankrupt, recently bankrupt or otherwise..

I was discharged twelve years ago.

Does anybody know?

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses whether an individual who was discharged from bankruptcy twelve years ago can apply for a Thailand Elite Visa, particularly since the application states that one cannot be currently bankrupt. Commenters suggest that as long as the bankruptcy is no longer active and not declared (especially if it's from a jurisdiction with a six-year record retention like the UK), it shouldn't impact the application. They also confirm that Thai authorities are unlikely to have access to such old records, especially those from other countries.

Bankruptcy is a legal preceding in court. All criminal and civil court cases are public records (to some extent) in most countries.

I doubt they check that - what they do is check in Thailand - as if you went into bancrupty here - you need to leave the country - and they want to close the way in with Elite Visa -

Do you think they check? Or do you know where I can find the small print? I can`t find anything on the application web-site.

When you submit your application, immigration does a background check that takes 4-6 weeks. I assume that's part of their background check. How they'd check though I don't know, and really doubt they do.

I'd just apply and see what happens. You don't pay until after you're approved, and you have 12 months from the time you're approved to pay.
