TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, vaccinated Canadians can participate in the Phuket Sandbox program while currently in Colombia. It's important to ensure you start the process and book a nonstop flight into Phuket from a foreign country.

meaning you need to fly from a foreign country, you cannot make the connection in BKK, either fly via Europe and straight into phuket or the other direction via an asian country, for example via Singapore..

all I am saying you need to fly nonstop into the airport in Phuket if you are doing the sandbox,,,you cannot make a connection in BKK to get to Phuket. so you need to find a flight from europe nonstop to Phuket, or any other country but it must be nonstop to Phuket.

I still don’t understand. My previous flight went from Houston, through Manchester UK before Tokyo. Are you saying that even though that flight was approved in the Thai Pass that in fact that I would not have been accepted when I arrived if I hade connected in Manchester

Asq and test and go in Bangkok and Pattaya you landed at Bangkok airport

Phuket sandbox you have to land direct at Phuket airport from outside Thailand, in your case Colombia to a European country then direct from that European country to Phuket or Colombia via the Middle East then onto Phuket

yeah. I understand. You can fly from anywhere more or less but there can’t be a connection in Thailand such as into Bangkok connecting to Phuket.

I had previously been approved for both test and go and then again for AQ and neither of those flights were direct. One was stopped over in Manchester and Singapore and the other had a connection in Tokyo. Is there some unique flight requirements for Sandbox Program that specifically requires a non-stop flight?

in simple terms, your flight into Phuket must originate from another country. You cannot transit through BKK but you can transit through other countries.
