Does anyone know if I hold a USA passport, am I able to enter Thailand say on Oct 25, then leave on Nov 8th to Vietnam for a week, then re-enter Thailand on Nov. 16th until going back to the USA on December 15th, all without a visa? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US passport holder can enter Thailand without a visa for 30 days under the visa exemption rule. Traveling to Vietnam and returning to Thailand within the specified dates is permitted as long as recent entry into Thailand hasn't exceeded the frequency that might trigger scrutiny over immigration stamps. Travelers are reminded that a visa may be required for entry into Vietnam, and such approval can typically be arranged online.
Thailand starts to review your passport when you have many pages full of Thailand exemption stamps back to back. You should be good, as most tourists go back and forth a few weeks at a time and then go back home
Yes, that works perfectly for Thailand. But please be advised you need a letter of approval for your vietnam visit. It’s easy and it can be done online.
There's absolutely no problem in doing that. The usa passport basically gives you a 30 day visa. Once you leave Thailand the count starts over. I've done it several times between Thailand and manila.
