Hi everyone,
Is it possible for a university student but holding a tourist or amnesty visa to get Thai driving license ? I recently passed my driving exam and got certificate from a Thai driving school. But lately did I find out that it might not be possible for a tourist visa holder to get a driving license. Thank you for your responses.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The possibility of obtaining a Thai driving license as a university student on a tourist or amnesty visa is unclear. Some users mentioned that holding a tourist visa might allow for a temporary license valid for 1-2 years. However, others pointed out that proof of residence and a health check certificate are generally required, and some local driving license offices may insist on having a long-term visa.
