Are there exceptions to the age (I believe it’s 50) with the retirement visa?
I have a set income monthly that more than meets the financial requirements of the visa that isn’t a “working” income. But I’m 43 years old. Does anyone know if there are any exceptions or any other options for me to look into?
Not looking to work in Thailand. Would love to stay at least one to 5 years, if not longer depending on visa options. I just haven’t found anything that fits with situation yet.
Any advice?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The retirement visa in Thailand typically requires applicants to be at least 50 years old. However, there are limited options for those under 50, such as the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) which could allow for longer stays if specific conditions are met. Alternatives like the Thai Privilege visa may also be considered, offering 5-year terms. Overall, options are limited for individuals under 50 who wish not to work.
Yes, DTV is the answer. If you have money in the bank, you can either get into a small class, which does not have to last for all of the years the visa is good for, or you can give evidence you have some form of online work.
If you're retired and not working and under 50 your options are limited. You could purchase a Thai Privilege visa and kick back and relax, comes in 5 year multiples. You could sign up for a soft power activity and apply for a DTV, but that only gets you 180 days at a time, albeit over a 5 year period.
yes I do agree but how many border bounce u going to do in 5yrs? To is own liking well I still prefer to hold on to my non O and will be changing to the 65k/mth method and hence unlock the 800k
