Are term deposit accounts (3 year term deposit with interest) acceptable as proof of funds for DTV?
Answer summary
Term deposit accounts are not acceptable as proof of funds for the DTV visa, as the funds need to be in an account that is instantly accessible.

Thanks for responding.

First, the term deposit is accessible and can be 'broken' at anytime (with loss of interest of course). And secondly, I am asking if anybody has been in the situation before, so that I know the immigration stance on it.

MB You don't mention what Embassy will be approving your application so don't expect other people's outcomes elsewhere to have any bearing on your likely outcome
