My plan. From USA (as a US Citizen), arrival Kuala Lumpur Sept 9. Visit Malaysia for 3-4 weeks. Apply IN PERSON for a Thai tourist visa (60 days, single entry) at the Thai immigration office in KL or Penang. After approval and with my visa IN HAND, I would like to take the ferry from Langkawi to Koh Lipe.

Q1: Do I need a minimum of days of stay in Malaysia before to apply in person at the Thai immigration office?

Q2: I pretty sure but can I buy the ferry ticket online in advance to put in my visa application? (also it will be my proof to exit Malaysia on my flight from USA on Sept 9. Also my proof for my port of entry for Thailand in my Thai visa application)

Q3: Do I miss something?

Q4: It will work or not?

Hi all. My friend was just told he cannot get another ED visa because he's South African.

His visa expires quite soon and we were considering the options to stay in Thailand for a while.

He needs to stay in order to sort out domestic things (house, dog, furniture, etc. )

Is there any nearby place South Africans can fly in order to get a tourist visa?

I heard South Africans will be made to wait a month in Malaysia before they are granted a visa, is this true?

Is there anyone with any ideas?

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance.

Hey guys! Quick question, does anyone know where I can go for a Non-B visa if I have a Namibian passport? My understanding is that Penang and Laos aren't an option cause all African countries apart from South Africa are banned from doing it there? Any other ideas (Apart from having to go back home to do it of course)? Thanks everyone!
