Got a new passport and need to transfer my stamp to my new passport. Also would like to get a tourist visa extension the same day so I don't have to travel to immigration two times. If I book an appointment online for my tourist visa extension, could they also do the transfer of stamps during that appointment or is transferring stamps a completely different counter/location? Is it possible to book an appointment online to transfer stamps?
A brief report on my visit to Chaengwatthana immigration yesterday. It was a little busier than my previous visit a month ago. Arrived around 13.30, made an update and copies of my bank book and around 14 pm took my queue number. After 25 minutes I had a stamp with the annual extension of my Non-O /thai wife/ visa. Luckily, on April 18, the 90 days report moved back to the Chaengwatthana immigration office. So 2 in 1🙂 Took my queue number for counter A and after another 25 minutes I was ready. A total of about an hour for both reports. So it's not as scary as it seems😉Good luck everyone!
CoViD-19 Unable to Travel Extension Experience (Bangkok, Chaengwatthana Immigration):
* Came at around 13:40 pm.
* Had to fill the form before entering the building, the answers were "no" for each question.
* After checking my form, I was asked regarding when I had my last ATK test, which I answered as never having it at all, then was asked if I agreed to get tested in the ATK testing place adjacent to the building, I agreed. Perhaps the unvaccinated part made them panic.
* Got a negative test result and was asked to take a picture and show it to the person working at the entrance.
* Waited for about 3 hours to get my visa extended (70 people queue). No questions asked. Had an embassy letter, so it was a smooth process. I didn't have a TM30 form, as I was never asked to provide it, I told that my address didn't change since my previous extensions, so the immigration worker checked it online, and didn't make it mandatory among my documents.
