ORIGINAL POSTER
Reporting about experience at Muang Thong Thani Immigration Counter K

US citizen previously entered on Visa Exempt stamp, went on amnesty, paid extension before 26 September to 30 November, and applied for 2nd extension today.

Result: Got ‘Under Consideration’ stamp until 25 November, and was told I would be given a 60 day extension.

All usual docs that have been posted here in the group were required. HOWEVER - they DID ask for an embassy letter and were quite strict about it. Fortunately, another member posted about this in the last 1-2 days (thanks Travis!), so I e-mailed the US Embassy to request a letter (knowing I would not get one) just so that I could receive their reply stating that the US Embassy was indeed not supplying letters, should Immigration request to see it.

Not only did they ask to see this “confirmation” e-mail - they made me go to their separate building (main building, Counter J) to print it out (at 10 baht per page, black and white!). I was told that it needed to be an official print-out from my e-mail, but as the copy machine people would only accept docs through Line, I just screenshotted the e-mail and printed that out. Fortunately, it was accepted.

I was eventually given ‘Under Consideration’ until 25 November, and was told I would be given a 60 day extension.

Anyway, this is the situation at the moment, at least at MTT. I can’t speak for other nationalities, but I’d highly recommend getting an Embassy letter if you can get one - and if not, make sure to at least get an e-mail from your embassy stating that they’re not handing them out, as I did, and print that before going.

Also - I made a new, official Google Maps listing for Counter K, seeing as the “pin drop” provided by the office isn’t fairly informative (and the other maps listing someone created, “muang thong immigranten,” was also fairly undescriptive). This way you can also rate your experience there, see their operating hours, add photos, etc. The link is in the comments of the first photo, since links cannot be put in the main posts of this group.

Also - getting here is quite the escapade. I took the BTS to Mo Chit and then Grab the rest of the way (to the tune of 160 baht + 80 baht Expressway fee). And then Grab from MTT to BTS Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, which was about 140 baht, but it took 1 HOUR with traffic, only on road 304 - barely 6km! Next time I’ll probably take a moto taxi from MTT to BTS Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, to avoid the traffic. If anyone has better tips for getting to/from there please share in the comments of the first photo.

That is all! Good luck everyone.
