Hi there. I'm doing a border bounce at the Aranyaprathet (Thailand) / Poi Pet (Cambodia) border. I've already entered Cambodia (with a visa) and I'm staying in Poi Pet tonight. Will I be allowed to re-enter Thailand tomorrow at the same border? If so, will I need to pay 'extra', and how much might that be? If not, can anyone tell me how long I need to wait before re-entering, or alternatively recommend a better border to enter on? Thanks.

Warning about the Aranyaprathet - Poi Pet border with Cambodia

For a good while now this border crossing with Cambodia has been known to be tough to deal with. Now more and more people who are bouncing out/back in for a 30 day visa exempt entry are being denied (even though they have not exceeded the two 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a year)

AND

people with valid multi-entry visas who are bouncing to activate another entry on their current visa are being told NOT to bounce at that border again. Some are even getting written notes in their passport stating they should apply for an extension of stay instead.

I just wanted to let everyone know that there are FAR more user friendly borders to bounce out and back in at and if you can I'd give that border crossing a pass (unless you're going there with a border bounce company in a group).

A good choice for a border bounce from Bangkok is the Phu Nam Ron - Htee Kee border with Myanmar in Kanchanaburi.

This person, a Filipino male, was rejected at Poi Pet border on 10th July. He was asked to fly in. He had some Tourist Visa already, but no 30 day stamp in his passport. At Don Muang Airport, on the same day, no question ask, he got stamped in 30 days, even with this rejection stamp. Not all news must be bad.
