Hi all. If it wasn’t for this group I wouldn’t be aware of some key bits of info when travelling to and staying in Thailand - many thanks to those who contribute.
The one thing that’s got me is the 90 reporting process. I’ve just been given the dtv visa and will travel in a few weeks but I’ve never received any info telling me about any rules and processes I need to follow. Just wondering what else I might have missed.
Is anyone able to share a link that describes anything I need to be doing while using my visa?
Also interested in anyone’s view on how I’ve missed the 90 day reporting. Should I have been following an official site / page?
Hi, I am a 66 British male and I have been living in Egypt.
I am travelling to Thailand soon, can I apply for a non o retirement visa when I arrive, if yes how please, on arrival at the airport or at the local immigration office.
I do have the 800,000 THB required for the transfer into a Thai bank account, which I can open with the retirement visa. Also I have booked accommodation for the 1st month as I need a TM30? And look for a permanent residence.
I haven't booked a flight out of Thailand, should I?
Any other useful information would be very much appreciated.
Good morning quick question re TM30. I could well be wrong, I thought that if we left our rental villa went stayed in a hotel in Thailand when we returned to our villa we had to get our Landlord do our TM30 again? My mother is on her first 3 month retirement visa. The landlord said no! Happy to be wrong, just want to make sure we're doing everything by the book. TIA
Question ref 90 day online reporting, when it asks for the date of arrival into Thailand, although this was back in November 23 is this still the date I have to put.
I have a question about the reporting of the TM30. Been searching info about this in other post but i cant find something similar to my situation.
I will be coming into Thailand for the first time since i acquired my DTV visa last early this month but it will only be for 2 days. But will be back again in a month's time.
I will be staying at an Airbnb for the 2 nights and wondering how would the TM30 reporting work in this case?
Okay, so I was approved for the DTV. Is there any reporting I need to do for my residence (I have a lease that I started when I was on a tourist visa)? Do I need up update my landlord regarding my new visa status?
I have a question regarding re-entry permit, currently on Non-O visa.
- When I fly out of Thailand an fly back in, do I need to report anything when I enter Thailand again? And my first report will be in 90 days at the immigration office correct? (Not online for first report)
- If I enter Thailand again, and if I fly out again before the 90 days report, is it correct that no report needs to be done? And the 90 days will start counting again the moment I enter Thailand after that?
So just to be clear. You get one 180 day extension in a five year period. So once you use that single extension you cannot get another for the visit if the visa and have to leave within 180 days. Then secondly for the 90 day reporting you only need to do that if you are staying past 90 days . So if you leave the country at 89 days you would be exempt from the reporting ? And then every time you enter it’s automatically 180 consecutive days again you can stay?
I purchased a condo and am doing my own tm30 reporting. I now need to have proof of tm30 from the website but I don't see anything to print. Actually it states within the last 7 days is the only time you
Can see if you submitted the information. Do I now need to go to immigration to get the paper slip for
