This falls under the category of more, Thailand health insurance.

So, Pacific Cross is my insurance that I use here in Thailand. Had them for two years now and my policy is coming up for renewal next month.

Even though I've never had a claim in two years since joining them, and I get the discount yearly for no claims, the policy just keeps going up every year and it boggles my mind.

And now PC wants me to submit some BS prostate test and cataract's test of which I'm totally healthy for both. I'm in super great shape, I don't drink or smoke, workout everyday.

I need to look for another insurance provider that comparable to PC

if anyone here knows how I can get a cheaper policy or is an insurance broker here are my stats without giving way too much intimate detail you can just DM me

Current: UK citizens (all of us)

Me: 57yrs old

My partner: 38yrs old

Two male children: 6yrs old, 13 years old

I don't need vision, or dental, or pregnancy. and I'm willing to pay a small deductible of 10,000 Baht.

I just want inpatient covered for everything catastrophic or the main stuff etc etc etc.

The only reason I got the darn insurance in the first place wasn't for me it was for my partner and my kids, just in case anything happened if it was just me, then I'd get a super small policy that's peanuts and be done with it.

Need some recommendations from brokers with the information I gave you, not willing to give anymore information, I would just like to get a basic quote and if I like it then we can dig into the specifics, but based on what I wrote I should be able to get a ball park quote without being bombared with phone calls or emails, lol

Thanks for your recommendations

The O-A visa requires a health insurance policy, that covers 400,000 baht for inpatient and 40,000 baht for outpatient coverage from certified health insurance companies.

I would like to save a little with the premiums of the health insurance policy.

Does anybody know, if these policies are also accepted by the thai embassy, if a deductible is agreed on with the insurance company?

Just got four quotes for medical insurance

I,m 67 years old yearly .

They were coming in at approx Bhat 200,000 a year .

I noticed it did say lifetime renewability .

No existing medical conditions

Most were world wide can you get Thailand Asia coverage only ,or does it make much difference.

They were excluding the U.S.

. Happened to speak to an agent one of the four

, He said get a Thai Company

Having looked at the companies seem fairly well know and likely more expensive on these qoutes

What is a reasonable yearly amount you can expect to pay on average with a Thai Company in patient only.

For anybody not aware. This is for information only.

I deleted the last post as it went way off topic with posts deciding what is and what isn't acceptable and how you think you will get around it all.

It isn't a discussion about how to buy Health insurance.

I suggest reading the attached police order and to understand the requirements.

It is what it is and you need to deal with it.

Commenting closed.

London Thai Embassy website now updated and requesting Health insurance for Non Immigrant O-A Visa applications. Start date as of today. It appears to be saying needing Insurance immediately for new applications.

Copy of evidence stating that applicants have insurance as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and health insurance of Thailand which has insurance coverage for outpatient not less than 40,000 Baht and for inpatient not less than 400,000 Baht. Please check < [members only]> for more information regarding the insurance requirement.
