Are deductibles accepted for the O-A visa health insurance policy in Thailand?

The O-A visa requires a health insurance policy, that covers 400,000 baht for inpatient and 40,000 baht for outpatient coverage from certified health insurance companies.

I would like to save a little with the premiums of the health insurance policy.

Does anybody know, if these policies are also accepted by the thai embassy, if a deductible is agreed on with the insurance company?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The O-A visa in Thailand mandates health insurance with specific coverage amounts. Users inquire about the acceptance of policies with deductibles by the Thai embassy. Responses indicate that policies with deductibles are generally accepted, provided they meet the coverage requirements of 400,000 baht for inpatient and 40,000 baht for outpatient care. Recommendations for insurance providers and brokers familiar with the O-A visa's needs were also shared.

Your rate will be almost entirely based on your health, age and preexisting conditions. You will out right be declined for things like obesity (as an example).

The insurance company provides a page with a stamp, that’s what they want for the visa application.

I never used mine in two years. I used LMG.

Oh, that will be a problem. I have a BMI of 36.2...

BMI is a meaningless value, it really is!

However, 36 is a dangerous range if having low fitness and low muscle mass my friend.

I’m not going to lie, that could be denial criteria for you and maybe it better you go after the non O visa instead as it doesn’t have this insurance requirement.
