This might be helpful for someone.

This is what we did to get covid extension in Phuket.

You have to go to the main immigration centre in the Phuket town upstairs. Dress respectively. We were in the office for 45 minutes. If you have everything in order, it's very easy.

You will need a screenshot of the TM30 website from your hotel (when you check into your hotel they will register you on the TM30 website, just ask them for a screenshot of you on the system for immigration),

a TM7 form and an STM2 form (both these forms available at the immigration office or you can get them online. Also, an affidavit form that you get in immigration.

you will need your passport,

a signed copy of your passport page,

Signed copy of the TM6 card

a signed copy of the 30 day extension in your passport you already have along with your actual passport.

You will also need 2 X passport photographs of yourself.

You pay 1900baht and then leave your passport overnight and collect the next day.

Hi, I am planning on applying for a Thai driver’s license and I am required to have a “certificate of residency”/ “residency statement” from my embassy (USA) ...the embassy website just says to fill out a blank affadavit form but offers no instructions ... can anyone that has done this before tell me how to fill this out correctly? Anything I should know like does it have to be printed or can be handwritten ? Specific ink color? Do I have to take a witness for the notary? Any documents I need to bring to the embassy? Anything I should know? Thanks everyone, happy holidays! 🎄

HOURS LATER SAME DAY UPDATE: got my under consideration stamp until dec 15th and was told I can return for the 60 day stamp as early as dec 9th (earliest possible), up to a few days after 15th. Note: immigration closed for holiday dec 10 & 11

UPDATE ON 60-DAY EXTENSION - I've just been to immigration in Samui (living on Koh Phangan). They are only giving a consideration stamp right now, so you must return no earlier than Dec 15th to get a 60-day stamp that starts from Dec 1st. You can only get the 60-day stamp from the same office that issued the consideration stamp. There's no way around it. I asked to receive both stamps today for an extra cost and they won't do it. Must show proof of registration with current accommodation (I printed out a screenshot received from my guesthouse), several forms (TM7, STM.2, Affidavit form, one photo, copies of all relevant passport pages, 1900B.
