# Is there a visa extension specifically for medical/dentist appointments?
I'm here in Thailand on a visa exemption (from US), and I already extended by 30 days. I had a dentist appointment booked for my last week in Thailand before my visa expires, BUT I got sick, which made me push back my dentist appointment, PAST the end of my current visa.
So, I want to extend my visa again. Is there a specific visa where I can bring in documentation from the dentist about my appointment, and I can extend further on that basis? Or should I just try to do the "Unable to travel due to COVID" extension, and not even mention the dentist?
I'm in Pattaya, if that matters.
Thank you!
