[Apply for visa on arrival with 2 different departing flights]
Hey Guys,
Urgently need your help with the Visa on arrival to Thailand regarding tickets.
Me and my bf plan to travel from Sydney to [Bangkok], then stay there for 6 nights, and then [fly to]Phu Quoc island. We booked tickets on kiwi.com. and on the tickets, it showed both (Syd -Bangkok, and Bangkok - Phu Quoc). However, we made changes recently and want to go to instead of Phu Quoc island. Therefore, we won't use the tickets to Phu Quoc island anymore.
We wonder if Thais immigration will question us when we submit another departing [flight ticket to exit the country to Hanoi, instead of Phu Quoc island as shown in the first tickets?
There are reasons why we can't fly directly to Hanoi from Phu Quoc island due to my Boyfriend's visa situation. I am Vietnamese and I don't have any issue with these traveling restrictions.
Hope to hear from you soon. Much appreciated!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler from Sydney is seeking advice on whether Thai immigration will question their change of departure flight to Hanoi, as they originally booked a flight to Phu Quoc and have decided not to use it. The traveler holds an Australian passport and has been informed that Australians typically qualify for visa exemption and may not need to show an onward flight. Comments suggest that immigration may not require proof of onward travel and discuss visa stamps received for various travel situations.
They stamped me 30 days VISA-exempt to travel Phu Quoc only. Can't enter mainland with this VISA. I would have gotten 15 days if I would have entered mainland first.
Hi. thanks, Brandon. I am Vietnamese and my bf is Chinese. Only me having a visa exemption. We were applying e-Visa for my bf and had a doubt about when there is a section to upload the flight tickets.
What passports are you traveling on? You say you're departing from Sydney, but Australians don't qualify for visa on arrival, they get visa exempt. With visa exempt you likely won't have to show your flight out of Thailand at all.
