Ok sorry to ask but I’m someone who lives in phillippines that comes to Thailand for a week every couple of months (Canada passport). I saw now it’s only 2 visa exempt entries a year? How does this apply to me does it mean these week trips to Thailand are over or I need a visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian citizen living in the Philippines is concerned about recent immigration changes limiting visa-exempt entries to Thailand to two per year. Community responses reassure that as a bona fide tourist who is not attempting to live in Thailand illegally, particularly with brief visits and proof of onward travel, the individual should not face issues when entering Thailand.

It would be wise to expect more questions at passport control than in the past, which probably goes for everyone.

I wouldn't worry. You clearly don't fit the profile of someone who is trying to live and/or work in Thailand illegally. Bonafide tourists are not the target of the latest immigration crackdown. Read the comments from similar posts; the only ones shrieking and complaining all have several things in common, none of which apply to what you're doing.

You shouldn't have an issue entering because of a couple factors

1 - you aren't trying to live here on back-2-back visa exempt entries.

2 - you're not staying the full 60 days you get stamped in for

3 - you (most likely) have proof of onward travel

I wouldn't worry about your entries at all.
