I provided wise and payoneer invoices. Proof of accommodation and proof of current place (hanoi). I sent A dashboard screenshot of my portfolio as im working e-commerce cash on delivery. I highlighted the countries's currencies where I operate to proof that i don't operate in Thailand. I don’t why i got rejected? Did i miss something or what? Should i contact them? TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster experienced a rejection of their workcation visa application in Thailand shortly after submission. Despite providing adequate financial documentation, including proof of savings and invoices from their UK-based business, the reason for rejection was not disclosed by immigration authorities. Comments from the community offered various insights, such as the importance of being employed rather than self-employed, the necessity for strong documentation and cover letters, and the suggestion to seek help from agents or to apply in neighboring countries like Laos.

Did you apply for workcation or as a contractor?

My surface level feedback: you significantly increase the odds of getting the DTV if you are 1. physically located in the country of your passport/nationality 2. your businesses are registered there 3. you do business within that country 4. your currency is in that country 5. your addresses tie to that country 6. you apply within that country.

Did you write a strong cover letter to explain your situation financially and confirm you’re able to work remotely and won’t conduct business in Thailand?

I have given up on getting a DTV. Without some clarity on why the visa was not approved, it's crapshoot, with the odds favoring the house. I'm not handing them money I'll never see again if something doesn’t suit a clerk at an embassy.

Did you apply as self-employed? They prefer you to be employed with a long-term contract. I had the same situation and I got it in the end. After many weeks and hundreds of pages of documentation, workation DTV.

Apply in your home country. I'm African and my first application in a foreign country was rejected. I reapplied in my home country and got approved.

You can try contacting them but they don't have to give a reason. Was your application rejected or cancelled?

In your experience sir . What would be the reasons of a straight rejection

There are far too many reasons to try and cover. The reason I asked is that if it was cancelled it is most likely an issue with your biodata, it could also be the reason for being rejected but usually they cancel in this scenario

Анонимный участник 971 i’m not sure about that. I think it has to be valid for 6 months, but why do that? They will make it valid till your passport expire date. I made new 10 year passport right before getting DTV specifically for that reason

no they don't, you pay in person but that's it unless you mean the interview but that's really just a formality, they've already reviewed everything

of course there is no interview, but if they refuse you can ask why. It was my real case. They refused and i did not take documents back, asked why and made them tell me what additional documents are required. And second attempt was successful. So no fairy tale, just experience.
