Sharing my DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) experience as a YouTube gaming content creator.

Timeline:

β€’ 1 December 2025 – DTV application submitted

β€’ 2 December 2025 – Visa fee paid

β€’ 10 December – Status changed to Pending Approval

β€’ 9 January – Further documents requested

β€’ 19 January – Interview at Islamabad Embassy

β€’ 21 January – DTV Approved

Further Documents Requested (9 January)

They requested:

Employment contract OR employment certificate OR professional portfolio

I submitted:

β€’ A written explanation (Signed) stating I am a self-employed YouTube gaming content creator

β€’ Clarified that I do not have a traditional employer, boss, or employment contract

β€’ Explained that my work is fully remote and independent

Interview (19 January)

Questions focused on:

β€’ Why I applied for DTV

β€’ What kind of work I do

β€’ Whether I have an employment contract

I explained:

β€’ I create gaming content on YouTube

β€’ I am part of the YouTube Partner Program

β€’ How monetization works and how income is generated

β€’ How earnings move from YouTube β†’ AdSense β†’ bank transfer

The officer said he would review my application again.

Thank you ☺️ I think someone else got approved few days before me, so maybe the third. The officer did mention approvals are quite limited in Islamabad. Hoping more follow soon.
