I am from the US an am planning to move to Chiang Mai in June for 13 months.  I am retired and have a good retirement income - well over the minimum required for a retirement visa.  I plan to travel inside and outside Thailand quite a bit.  What type of visa do I need?  Do I buy it before I leave or do I get it when I get to Thailand?  Thank you.
