What to do if your DTV application is still pending after two months?
I put my dtv application in on the 29th August, still haven’t received any updates at all.. still just says pending document check anybody else like this.. applied through ho chi min city

Applied on 27th August afternoon.
Requested for more documents on the 4th.
Submitted on the 5th.
Changed to Pending Approval yesterday afternoon.
Then I am still waiting. Have seen some people got approved in an hour or a day after Pending Approval but it’s been one full day already for me. Don’t know how long it needs to take… some say they will approve during weekend too

I applied 28th Aug and received on the 7th Sept (dependent DTV for my son) however I emailed them on the morning of the 7th letting them know (politely) that I had a flight booked for today.
My DTV through HCMC last month took 10 working days, they asked me for additional documents on the 7th working day.
Stick it out - once it goes to approval it’s normally max 48h!

I'm stuck here waiting for the DTV too as it was going to be a hassle to get a Vietnam visa last minute. It's so dead right now. It's a tourist town that gets no tourists in the rainy season. The beaches near town are absolutely covered in trash, a lot of businesses are shut for the low season, and you can't walk outside without being hounded by massage places trying to reel in customers.Ben *****

If you live Thailand then Vietnam is different. A lot of it is overhyped especially Da Nang. The beach not that great. Then construction and honking makes it worse. I would not say I hate Vietnam but most are only here to escape their country and low cost of living.

omg. My same feelings. It’s not as bad as Laos but I’ve been here soo long I feel like I’m being detained against my will. I might as well find a side chic in nam at this point - I even left the tourist area and now living amongst the locals - I’m in phu quoc and I’m sure it’s not as bad as the mainland the locals tell me. I feel sorry for you all. Found a local $20 a night bungalow but the waiting is driving me insane - it’s not even for me, it’s a dependent I’m waiting on for my son- I might as well went to Laos - I feel like this is a conspiracy to keep us spending money in their country -

😂😂😂 I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels the exact same way. For some reason I thought I’d like it maybe because of Anthony Bourdain 😂 and the min I touched down… I immediately felt like it was one of the most overhyped countries I’ve been to. I landed in Ho Chi Minh and applied there, stayed there for a few days, hated it, flew to Da Nang still hated it. Still here just waiting 🥲 applied on the same exact day as you..
