Hey members, I just got my application submitted today in MTT for another 60 days extension. I have an appointment to go back and collect my passport on the 8th dec 2020 with the stamp.
I just want to share my experience, so that if you are planning to go down on the 25th nov 2020. It’s advisable to go through this check list to ensure smooth sailing throughout your application. Remember you must book online first for your queue!!!
1: No more family extension, you only have 1 reason, unable to travel due to COVID19 and request letter from your embassy for the extension.
2: if your embassy not issue any letter, it’s fine.. just print out the email that they sent you, stating that they are unable to issue you a letter. (I used an email which was 4 months ago sent to me by my embassy they are not able to issue me a letter)
3: Ensure you have TM30 reported in the system, if not go to the first building level 2 to file it into the system first, or do it online and screen shot it while you are on the way there. You can book online too, if not you might need to wait for easily a hour, it depends on the crowd. ONLY OWNER OF THE PROPERTY CAN FILE IT, IF NOT GET A POWER OF ATTORNEY FROM THE OWNER.
4: Print out your TM30, passport, visa stamp, embassy letter (if any) or print out the email that embassy sent you (item 2) and prepare 1,900 baht. You can also print out all these documents in building 1 level 1.
5: submit your documents, and get your passport back with a stamp stating you have to be back on the 8th dec 2020 to collect your stamp.
6: Please be there early! I spent about 3 hours or more there.
This is purely my experience, again as the admins here always said, it depends on each officer handling your case. However, I guess this should be the standard procedure. I have seen a number of foreigners got rejected for the application. Good Luck!
