What Should I Put on the TM6 for Duration of Stay and Return Flight Number with a Non-Immigrant O Visa?

Hi! I’m flying to Thailand on a 1 way flight with a non-immigrant type O visa. I’m worried about what I should put on the TM9 when it asks for duration of stay and return flight number. The Thai embassy I got my visa from said it was ok and so didn’t require a departing flight. I’ve also heard that people tend to not have problems as long as they have a visa, but Id love to hear any advise in this area. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When filling out the TM6 arrival and departure card upon entering Thailand with a Non-Immigrant O visa, it is common for travelers to leave the return flight number blank and put a dash (—) for the duration of stay. As you have a valid visa, immigration officers typically do not ask for a return flight. Many travelers have reported successfully entering Thailand using this method.

On the TM6 where it asks for the return flight, I just left it empty. Also, where it asks for length of stay, I just put a dash —. This seemed to work well; no one asked any questions. I was able to get through customs without a return flight just fine.

for entry through immigration, you fill out the TM6 arrival & departure card, not a TM9. And the advice the Embassy gave you, is okay. You would not be asked for a flight out of Thailand within the admitted stay period, when you have a visa
