My kids under 15 years old is on the tourist visa and they had stayed a week over due. My question is at what point do we have to leave the country to get them a valid visa. Is it asap or do we have X anount of days before we get a big fine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your children under 15 are overstaying their tourist visa in Thailand, they are not subject to fines, and children under 18 cannot be banned. However, it is advisable to leave the country soon to avoid passport stamping and complications with future visa applications. Planning to leave by the end of December is recommended to ensure compliance, especially if you have school obligations.

Becareful how you play this one No fine or ban on children under 15 for overstay but their passport maybe stamped overstay and maybe recorded on system but for you is different story chohk di

Kids are not fined or banned for overstaying so you can leave it for a few years. However his passport will be stamped 'overstay' which cause an issue if he wants a proper visa later.

There is no overstay fine for children under 15. Children under 18 cannot be banned. So if you don't want to pay 500₿ per day to a maximum of 20,000₿ then you'd want them cleared before they turn 15.

And if you plan on enrolling them in school, some schools will not accept if they are on overstay.

as long as it's a government recognised school I thought they could get an ED visa. Of course the school must cooperate. They're not going to last long using tourist visa
