Hello visa's hua hin community,

Hope you're all doing well and your safe in Thailand. I would like to ask for your help, recommendations, experiences, suggestions on the following issue:

We are a family planning to move to Thailand in December. We are from the Netherlands. We have a thai company in BKK, but we lived in Netherlands for the past years, so we don't have the working permits anymore. Now we were initially planning to arrive with the new STV (special tourist visa) but I just contacted the thai embassy in the Netherlands and they say Dutch person can't apply for this visa now, because Netherlands is a high risk country now. Does anybody have any ideas, what kind of way we could come to Thailand in December? We already have a yearly rental contract for our house in Hua Hin. The children will go to the interenational school in Hua Hin and we work in Shanghai and Singapore, so no active business activity in Thailand for now. Any idea, suggestions, help is welcome. Please PM me. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A family from the Netherlands plans to move to Thailand in December but faces challenges due to current visa restrictions, specifically the inability to apply for the Special Tourist Visa due to the Netherlands being classified as a high-risk country. They seek advice and alternatives to enter Thailand, considering options such as business visas, guardian visas for their children attending international school, or the Thai Elite visa as potential solutions.

get yourself a job and work permits in Thailand, otherwise fairly impossible at all, giving the timeframe.

and what do you mean that you will work in Shanghai / Singapore..? remotely from Thailand..? as you will not be able to shuttle between TH and other countries.

overall, your plan looks impossible atm.

Try Thai Elite visa u can purchase a family visa depending number in your family it’s not cheap but short cuts all visa issues if u have the money but getting in is still not guaranteed u mite have to wait but u have entry visas there is a website for them

google it

There is a guardian visa for guardians of international school children. If your in Singapore i advise going to embassy they are ok to talk to.

Depending on the size of your investment into your business, you may be able to get a business visa. Business people have been permitted to enter Thailand (as long as you quarantine) for quite some time. Investigate the business visa, money talks here in Thailand.

That’s a tough situation. I hope it works out for you.
