TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent applicants to the NYC consulate report varied turnaround times for visa approval, with experiences ranging from immediate processing after weeks of waiting to prolonged periods of pending status. Some applicants received requests for additional documents, while others noted delays after submitting their applications.

I applied March 4th and still nothing. It’s been on “Pending Approval” for at least a couple of weeks. I inquired over a week ago and was told I would hear something in a day, but I haven’t.

I submitted my application to the NYC consulate on 17 Mar. Received a request for additional documents the same day, and submitted the requested documents on 19 Mar. Still waiting to hear back. The status of my application shows as "Processing pending document check".
