I received my DTV yesterday! ๐Ÿฅณ

Hanoi embassy, Workation, Submitted documents on 07.01@16:00, Approved 15.01@15:00.

I immediately (15.01@18:00) applied for my wife and two children. Does anyone have an up-to-date timeline of how long dependent visas take in Hanoi?

Update 19.01@12:00: Status switched to โ€žpending approvalโ€œ

Update 22.01@12:00: Dependent Visa approved. ๐Ÿฅณ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently shared their experience receiving a Dependent Visa (DTV) for their family after their own visa was approved at the Hanoi embassy. They applied for their wife and two children immediately after their visa approval and provided updates on their status as it changed from 'pending approval' to 'approved'. Other users in the discussion contributed their own timelines and experiences regarding dependent visa applications, highlighting variations in processing times.

Laura Mason No possible. For the dependent Visa applicants, you need to upload the e-visa of the main Visa holder. Therefore, you first have to wait till the main visa is approved.

Laura Mason I did not use an agent. Used that template:

*************************************************************

And the help of ChatGPT (documents check, rewrite, general tips), which was very helpful.

The process is actually very straight forward. Just have all documents needed, well structured pdf files (template), and you should get the visa easily! ๐Ÿ˜‰

the template on WeTransfer seems to have expired. Do you happen to know where this might be from so I could locate it elsewhere? Thanks again

Thank You for your helpful report ๐Ÿ‘

Congratulations ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight โœˆ๏ธ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
