What is the process for entering Thailand with a Remote Work DTV Visa?

Hi everyone,

Iโ€™ve been reading in this group that some people are facing issues with their DTV Visa, so I wanted to share my recent experience at Suvarnabhumi Airport for my third entry into Thailand. Hopefully, this gives you some peace of mind!

For context, I have a Remote Work DTV Visa. My second stamp was a transit-only entry (flying from Helsinki (HEL) to Bangkok (BKK)). I went straight to the immigration counter, handed over my passport along with my DTV Visa (printed same size as my passport and laminated for convenience). The officer didnโ€™t ask any questionsโ€”just stamped my passport, and I was through in no time. Super smooth!

My third stamp was for a flight from Da Nang to BKK. Same deal: I presented my passport and the printed, laminated DTV Visa at immigration. The officer stamped it without any questions, and I was good to go.

Both entries were incredibly straightforward, with no issues or extra scrutiny. For those worried about the process, I hope my experience helps ease your mind! Just make sure your DTV Visa is printed clearly (laminating it helps with durability), and you should be fine.

Showed my phone with my visa on it and I got the 180 days again. Not sure why people overcomplicate things.

Just fill out the Tdac. Show up with your passport and DTV visa approval on your phone (she zoomed in on the form) and Bosh. Done.

Interesting -- I've always departed from BKK (Suvarnabhumi), and have never had a departed stamp applied to my passport. Is the departure recorded electronically at BKK?

Anonieme deelnemer 365 That is nice for the officer, but does not change anything for you.

You are just supposed to hand the printed visa, just like the fact that when they scan your biometrics they have your passport info does not mean you should not present the passport anymore.

See it as a form of multifactor authentication.

Thanks, it's cute how many people are proud of their "laminated" visa size visa like it makes a bit difference ๐Ÿฅฐ just printed on A4 paper and kept in passport is more than enough, but laminated is the pro version for sure haha
