Hi everyone! I’m Brazilian and I’m planning to apply for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) through the Thai Embassy in Brazil.

Has any Brazilian here already gone through this process from Brazil? I’d love to know how it went, which documents were requested, how long it took, and if the interview/communication was in English or Portuguese.

Also, did anyone move to Thailand with pets? I’ll probably be traveling with my cats, so I’d really appreciate any tips about documentation, flights, layovers, and whether you used a pet relocation agency or handled everything by yourself.

Thank you so much! Any experience or advice would help a lot.

Answer summary

A Brazilian considered applying for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and sought experiences from fellow Brazilians about the application process, required documentation, approval time, and language used during the process. Additional inquiries included tips for traveling with pets, specifically cats, including documentation and whether to use a pet relocation agency. Responses indicated successful applications with approvals taking about 3 days and provided links for further guidance on visa procedures and pet transportation.

I applied in March and everything worked out well. My visa was approved in 3 days.

The documents you need depend on the type of DTV you’re applying.
