Approved Hanoi // 3 Business days. 😊

 Writing this at 8pm on Wednesday 9th December  

I landed in Hanoi 9pm Saturday 5th December. 

We applied for DTV 3pm Sunday 6th December 

Asked for additional documents 10am Monday 7th December 

(Sent work permit of the gym owner)

Approved Visa 6.30pm today / Wednesday 9th December

Applied Soft Power Muay Thai, UK passport & a lot of Tourist stamps this year maybe 6-7 & an Education visa from 2023

Followed instructions from this group thank you! 

I think being very thorough and having the English checked on your documents helped massively.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

Any problems when entering the country with the DTV? I have some history same as you with many visa exempts and ED visa before and I just got the DTV in Hanoi too.

Participante anónimo there should be not problem entering with the DTV, but anyway, always can book a safe entry service for 4-5k if you don't want to take any risk to be rejected. I'm thinking about that.

Could you please share what did you choose in the Occupation section of visa application (employee/freelancer etc)? Other than prove of 500k funds, have you specified anything extra in terms of finances? Like showing your salary/income etc. And overal, did you tell them what you do to earn money?

I chose freelance.

I provided 3 months bank statements which show all my income and spending. I get paid commissions as and when I make them.

My savings were in a savings pot with Monzo bank, so I downloaded the statement for 3 months. My bank combines savings balances and main balance as a whole on the main page.

I provided no details about my work or my income.
