Just got approved for Workation DTV from Hanoi embassy as a freelancer!
May 2026 - 4 days processing total including 1 request for doc
I applied from Hanoi itself. Applied late friday, Monday was Thai holiday, received Visa end of work day following Friday after 1 request for document on Tuesday morning which was simply the company registration form.
Big thanks to this post which was my application blueprint and also is altered only slightly to form this post:
[[[[members only]/)
Entered Thailand today and was taken aside and made to fill out a small form 'because it's my first time on DTV'.
Wasn't too bad asked how much cash I had on me, how much in bank, entry/exit flights, purpose of visit I just put 'remote work - workation', and address.
Got stamp straight away from officer when returned with that sheet, no questions asked.
Good luck out there!
