TLDR : Answer Summary
The maximum age for a bank statement needed for Dtv soft power applications varies by embassy or consulate. While some may accept statements that are up to 6 months old, most prefer documents that are within the last 1 to 3 months. The safest approach is to provide the most recent statement possible and include an explanation if there are delays from your bank.

Most consulates want to see from the last 3-6 months, and it shouldn't be more than a couple weeks old.

There’s no single fixed rule — it depends on the embassy/consulate.

Most ask for a recent bank statement, usually within the last 1–3 months. Some have accepted up to 6 months, but that’s not guaranteed.

Safest option: use the most recent statement you can get and, if possible, add a short note explaining your bank’s delay.
