What is the current status of immigration checks upon return to Thailand after a short trip?
DTV border check update: Went out for 4 days and came back to BKK-Suvarnabhumi airport and no checks. Instantly got stamped!
There was some fearmongering about that lately but no problems at immigration :)

What kind of fearmongering? The only ones I hear about are in Chiang Mai.

Anonymous participant 574 There have been posts alleging difficulty with arrival in Bangkok. The posts by and large lack sense and logic and clearly intended to fearmonger.
