TLDR : Answer Summary
The best visa for staying in Thailand depends on your qualifications and the purpose of your visit. Users suggest consulting an immigration agent and emphasize that you should choose a visa based on what you qualify for rather than seeking the 'best' option. Discussions highlight the NON-O visa for long stays, as well as considerations for a potential path to citizenship after three years. Other mentions include the Elite visa.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

It's actually minimum 5 years of permanent residency plus .......

- hold a stable job

- min.฿80k/month imcome

- have a clean record,

- prove tax payments,

- pass a Thai language test,

- and, and, and .....

Easier and cheaper to get Elite Visa 😅

You don't pick visas based on what's best. You pick the visa you qualify for that suits your purpose of staying in Thailand.
