When applying online for STV (from Australia if that makes any difference), what does it mean by "Local Guarantor in your area" and "Guarantor in Thailand (if applicable)"?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the STV (Special Tourist Visa) online, the terms "Local Guarantor in your area" and "Guarantor in Thailand" refer to individuals or entities that can assist you during your stay. A local guarantor може be a hotel or a person you know (e.g., a spouse, fiancé, or business partner) who can financially support you if needed, while a guarantor in Thailand could be someone who resides in the country and can help with potential issues or emergencies. If you do not have someone to list, it's acceptable to leave it blank or provide a friend's contact information.

Think "Fiefdom" Not applicable in your case. If you feel better put your friend's information. (Caution, this maybe bad advice)
