TLDR : Answer Summary
The post asks for recommendations for agencies that assist with visa applications in Thailand, noting the author's return to the US for a few weeks before proceeding. The comments provide various suggestions, including 'THAI VISA CENTRE' and emphasize the importance of specifying the area of residence and the type of visa sought, particularly mentioning the NON-O visa in relation to marriage.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
  • Join the Thai Visa Advice Facebook Group to ask your questions, and get advice from others.

How does an agent open a bank account? Do you know anyone whos really done that? Part of the process is to verify who you are, this involves the bank checking your non o visa, taking your picture, verifing your address, and whatever the local bank manager decides whats neccessary to prevent fraud, IF an agent could do this illegal you would face the account being closed later when you wanted to change something on the account when they check the bank account details.

the agent doesn't open the bank account. They facilitate you being able to do so. They have arrangements with the staff/management at a specific bank branch and they go with you and ensure that everything is taken care of. The bank account is yours, in your name, with your passport and KYC information.
