OP
Ant W Tailor yes we've visited a few times and love it. Weighing up whether to stay a year to see if it suits outside of holiday mode. How are you liking it?

Great

If you have travelled

North to south or like one area it’s easily livable & of course super affordable

If you prefer beach areas , south has better beaches

I live in Hua Hin , which is coastal , beaches are walkable most of the year

And good infrastructure

There is also a FB group

- Australians

In Thailand

That may offer some insight

Long term here

Important things to get your head around are

- most suitable Visa

- health insurance

Have a good day

OP
Ant W Tailor thank you for your feedback. I think I've joined the page you've mentioned but shall double check. We're visiting again next year and shall seek out real estate business for ideas on options be they rent or own. Hoping to meet others who have moved there who know best health insurance etc.

Brains and Western Australians are not usually used in the same sentence.

OP
Tim Dean I'm curious to know peoples experiences. Did they choose a 1 year visa to see how it suited or just go " lets retire there", and settle down.
