what stupid little stuff should I bring from USA to make my life easier? getting surgery soon as I get there and going to be laid up in the condo for a month after only really able to go down stairs to pickup food/deliverys from grab drivers.
Answer summary
When preparing for a stay in Thailand, especially after surgery, expats recommend bringing a few essential items to make life easier. Key suggestions include personal electronics like a Keurig coffee maker or a TV streaming device (like Firestick or Apple TV), necessary medications such as Benadryl and specific body care products that may not be available locally. For entertainment, consider a gaming console like a Nintendo Switch. It's also suggested to familiarize yourself with local delivery services like Lazada for easy access to everyday needs. Ensure to have a good amount of cash on hand and set up a VPN for streaming services from your home country.

1. Benadryl. I have not found any yet and the pharmacists don't understand when I ask for it. 2. The medicine here is not coated so I wish I had brought some from the US. Tylenol here dissolves as soon as it hits liquid. 3. More pants and long sleeved shirts. Every place is heavily air conditioned so I'm always cold.
If you bring a firestick or streaming device -- set it up in America. Add all your apps and get a VPN set up on there before you come over. Adding that afterwards on the device can be difficult because of regions and IP address. Otherwise you may have to buy one here.
Deodorant, shave butter, and my favorite body wash aren't available here. Some way to watch TV from home - Firestick, VPN, etc. I use a VPN with family which gives me access to their DVD , go Seahawks!
Oh! I don't like the qtips here, not as good as from the West.
TV streaming box and HDMI cable (remember the remote control), order using the Grab app and link it to your credit card so you don't need cash, change your currency for THB for other needs, get an eSIM on arrival.
