TLDR : Answer Summary
The question seeks clarification regarding the requirements for showing a bank statement during the visa application process in Thailand. It asks if the bank statement should reflect salary or income, or if proof of travel funds (20-40k baht cash) suffices, as it was prior to COVID. Additional comments inquire about the context of the bank statement requirement and whether it has changed recently.

We have never been asked about funds prior to getting a 2 month visa to Thailand is this a new thing? We got visa in September was never asked then either.
It's well known that different consulates have different requirements to get the same visa to enter Thailand. This includes what they accept for "bank statements" as well, since different countries have different banking laws.
It's also well known that in Thailand, different immigration office have different requirements to get the same visas or extensions of stays to stay in Thailand.
For South Korea, I don't know what they accept as bank statements. It's a question you'll have to ask the consulate 🙁
I know for some countries (like the USA), they accept print offs for the online banking systems. For other countries (I think Nigeria) they need a formal letter on bank letterhead.
