Curious to know if anyone has applied under the Soft Power category and been asked to provide proof of monthly income, general income, or a work contract.

I’m hearing conflicting information, so if you were asked for this, what did you submit that was accepted?

Online only shows valid course and savings, but some say they are getting questions about employment.

NY consulate didn't ask me for any. I stated that I was unemployed.

Yes I had to give them tax returns as well.

HCMC, Vietnam asked me for payslips, work contract, work examples, company profile, CV, and salary deposits highlighted in 6 months of bank statements. I submitted all those documents and was approved within 2 days.

Depends on the embassy Taipei and KL require soft power applicants to have remote work income too.

no they don't. Like many consulates they require you to show how you can support yourself

Like much else with the DTV, it is often Embassy dependent.

You can be asked to show how you can support yourself for your stay in Thailand. The 500k baht you need to show when applying is seen as more of an emergency fund
