How does one comply with the second requirement? Do you simply present a copy of your rental agreement? The paperwork from the school said something about bringing the TM 30 but isn’t that something the landlord fills out and not the applicant?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To comply with the second requirement linked to the TM 30, you need to obtain the third page of the TM 30 form from your landlord and present a copy of your rental agreement. Different immigration offices may have varying rules, so it's advisable to confirm the specific requirements with your local immigration office.
You get the Certificate of Residence from Immigration. You will need to bring the third page of the TM 30 (the PDF Document) and a copy of the rental agreement.
This is the requirement from my Immigration office but they all have different rules.
Ask your landlord to print out the 3rd page of the TM 30 for you
Sorry, but that doesn't work at every immigration office and for every reason you're visiting. They will eventually ask for the physical TM30-receipt which is supposed to be kept in your passport.I need a copy of mine when doing my 90-days reports and of course 1 year extensions.
max worked for me heaps of times and the hotel prints it on a4 paper. Used in Buriram many times and korat ice. What IO are you talking about. Oh tm30 is I think your a bit confused. Yeg 90 days online are pretty easy after the initial one
Are you intoxicated? You always keep the TM30-receipt from immigration in your passport if you have more than 2 brain cells. Don't confuse Buriram or Korat with for example Bangkok,Chiang Mai or Pattaya where the TM30 is a requirement when doing anything at immigration. You can't use a TM30 print-out from an hotel. You must be a rookie if you don't know this.
Try to use a copy of an hotel TM30 report in most immigration offices in Thailand for lets say a 1 year extension or even a 90 days report in any Chonburi immigration office, I think there are three of them. As a tourist going for a 30 days extension the hotel TM30 copy will work. If you're staying in Thailand long term, why would you even use the copy from an hotel? My TM30-receipt has been stapled inside my passports for years. Now I take copies of copies of it, to keep it in one piece.
You can't do that at immigration offices in major locations in Thailand, like for example Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Pattaya. They're asking for the physical TM30-receipt.I'm staying in Jomtien long term and I always need a copy of mine when doing 90-days reports. It's a requirement since October last year. Try to do a 1 year extension using a print-out from an hotel.
