Hi All

Thanks for the add.

We intend to retire to Hua Hin around April 2027 and we are visiting on holiday in March 2026 for three weeks.

Is there anything I can do during our holiday in March to help with the retirement in 2027.

We will both be 62 on retirement and both UK citizens.

Any advise would be appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning to retire in Hua Hin by April 2027 and is visiting for three weeks in March 2026. They are seeking advice on steps to take during their holiday to facilitate their upcoming retirement. Suggestions include finding a residential property and, if considering using an agent, identifying one during the trip. Additionally, one commenter advises looking into obtaining a long-term visa and opening a local bank account.

Come on a long term visa and open a bank account.

Other than looking for/finding a place you will reside in, the only thing I can think of is if you plan to use an agent, maybe find the agent then? Might still be too far out though.
