Just to reinforce what's been said before...came in to phuket today for visa exempt after using my final extension on METV while doing a same day flight bounce from KL. IO wanted to know what I was doing in Thailand and only finally gave me a stamp after showing flight back home in <30 days. Had the 20000 and condo lease ready if he asked but did not...not really sure what he would have said if I only showed a flight to a neighboring country...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses an individual's experience entering Thailand with a visa exemption after using a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV). Upon arriving in Phuket, the immigration officer asked about their purpose in Thailand and issued a stamp after verifying a return flight scheduled within 30 days. The author prepared additional documentation, such as a 20,000 THB cash amount and a condo lease, but these were not requested by the officer. The post raises questions about what would have happened if only a flight to a neighboring country was provided.
