Hi, I have a Thai Private Motorcycle Driving Licence (Temporary), issued in Chiang Mai on 26 December 2023 and expiring on 26 December 2025. I would like to extend its validity and have some questions on that:

What documents do I need to provide when applying for the extension?

Do I need to apply for the extension in Chiang Mai, or can I do it anywhere in Thailand? Can I do it from abroad?

Do I need to apply for the extension before the expiry date (26 December), or can I do it afterwards as well?

2) you can go (in person) to any DLT office, so... not possible from abroad

3) you can apply from 3 months before the license expire, if you are up to one year late there is no difference in paperwork or required tests to a normal renewal

Renewing your motorbike licence ...passport ,residency cert, medical cert u can vist DTL nearest to your residency cert to apply ....yes u can renew after its expired but not more than 1yr from expired or u need to take the test all over again
