Hi y’all,

need your help and input regarding thai business bank account and registration at various banks. Their requirements? and different banks’ bank fees for comparison purpose and features offered? went to one bank today and was given major crap plus them not understanding what is going on at all, plus specifying how one particular nationality is not allowed to have any bank accounts including business bank accounts in Thailand (which is not my nationality). like I like thailand but boy, this is what’s despicable sometimes even for “professionals” like banks (real high class, not :P)

Stop clogging up social media with your petty personal problems… cough up a few baht and make an appointment to sit down with a reputable professional ffs

Lynn Nah I’m so sorry to offend..

Genuinely sorry to all this group.

My point is though… why risk your future plans by relying on social media posts? Just engage a professional, let them guide you through the process, and if there’s a problem along the way, you will have a point of contact, and in the worst case scenario, if things don’t go to plan you will have someone to hold accountable.

Whatever your plans though… good luck

First question. Do I REALLY need it.?

Setting up the Company.

100% Job for a professional. Who was meticulous and provided me exactly what I needed to take with me to the bank. Take a Thai National with you too, who happens to be bi lingual.

Look the part. Be prepared to be heavily scrutinised. In hindsight, just have the lawyer do all of it for you. Not worth the grief. I use KBiz by KBank.

Great support, lovely app.

There are probrably better pages on FB to post this on- not many retirees will have ( can have) business bank accounts and most will be on ' retirement ' visas that prevent them working .

Try the more generic ones. And chill.....bureaucracy is part of Thai life, ranting against it is not.

You’re welcome to repost this in other more useful groups 😁 I shook off my parents and now other people like you are on me. lol 😝

In 2022, I called Bangkok Bank in Osaka, asked them if my daughter (a Thai national) could open a bank account with them.

Yes, they said but that bank account is for business, if she has a business dealing with Thai entities. No ATM card, business only.

Lynn Nah you sound very angry but if you have the right visa and have the money there’s no reason to be denied. Nothing to do with your nationality. Your company can probably help
