Hello, I would like to apply for a DTV visa through Muay Thai in Bangkok. Could you recommend any good gyms?

Answer summary

The original query asks for recommendations on gyms suitable for applying for a DTV visa through Muay Thai in Bangkok. The responses recommend several reputable gyms including Tiger Eye, Krudam gym, and Wildcat Muay Thai in Chiang Mai. Participants clarify that any gym able to meet DTV criteria set by the government, such as being registered and certified, can be chosen, but a good track record for DTV approvals is advisable. There is no specific government-approved list, but it's emphasized that the length of the course should ideally be 6-9 months for best chances of visa approval.

Can I just choose any gym I like? Or is there a specific list of government-approved gyms that I have to use?

Anonymous participant in a manner of speaking, but no list. They must be registered with the ministry of education.

Anonymous participant You can choose from any gym that meets the DTV criteria of govt registration, sports authority certified. The length of course must be 6mths but 9mths is increasingly the minimum to get a DTV. Someone did publish a list of schools, a couple of months ago, it may be in the threads still. Best to choose a school with a track record of DTV approval.

Yeah, idk. This was from the embassy in HCMC, Vietnam. My twin brother also got approved pretty much at the same time, so it’s definitely possible.

EmeraldPapaya7418 Yes that happens and approvals vary among embassies regarding the term required. There are more posts now detailing TVS being issued and comments from embassies that 'there is insufficient evidence for the need for a DTV'.
